Manganese

While I was doing research for weight loss shakes I came across the mineral “manganese” many times.  I didn’t know anything about it so I looked it up.

I was very surprised to find that this particular mineral is very important to bone development, brain function and memory.

Manganese also improves the functioning of the thyroid gland, regulation of blood sugar levels and metabolism of fats and cholesterol.

Nuts, seeds, whole wheat bread, tofu, beans, fish, spinach, kale, black tea, berries, pineapple, avocado, spinach, garlic, Spirulina, peppermint, coconut milk, rice and wheat bran are all very high in manganese.

Weight Loss Smoothie 

  1. 1/2 cup coconut milk
  2. 1/2 cup milk alternative (or water and 1T whey powder)
  3. 2 T LSA mix
  4. 1T oat or wheat bran
  5. 1/2 cup avocado
  6. 1 t cacao or cocoa powder (optional)
  7. Stevia or honey to taste.

mix all together – I like to warm my milk. I also like to add a pinch of chilli powder.  Give it a go and let me know what you think.
